LEADER ENERGY requires its directors, officers and Employees to observe high standards of business and personal ethics in the conduct of their duties and responsibilities. As Employees and representatives of LEADER ENERGY, we must practice honesty and integrity in fulfilling our responsibilities and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
LEADER ENERGY requires any Employee who suspects any violations of this Code to raise his/her concern through an internal whistle blowing procedures. Examples of suspected violations that can be raised include:
– criminal offence;
– fraud or malpractice (i.e. theft or any misappropriation of money and property);
– breach of this Code or of any legal obligation;
– miscarriage of justice;
– damage to the environment caused by Leader Energy;
– danger to the health and safety of any individual;
– deliberate concealment of information.
LEADER ENERGY will promptly investigate all reported violations of this Code of Conduct. Concerns raised shall be investigated properly and the identity of the person raising the concern shall be kept confidential. Employees are encouraged to cooperate fully with any investigation and respond truthfully and completely to any inquiries made. All Employees will be treated with dignity and respect and no Employee will be subject to any retaliation or threats for reporting concerns in good faith and have reasonable grounds for believing the information disclosed indicates violations. Withholding information, knowingly providing false information with malicious intent or retaliation against an Employee for reporting a violation will result in disciplinary action.
Violations of the Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination. Any illegal acts will be reported to the appropriate authorities and may be cause for immediate termination of employment or contract. LEADER ENERGY is committed to taking any actions necessary to correct such violations and prevent their recurrence.
A whistle blower should use the following channels for reporting of any violations of the Code of Conduct and indicate if he/she would like to be contacted (if yes, to provide mode of contacts e.g. anonymous email address) for status of investigation:
