Our fourth volunteering activity with NASOM was held on 20 November 2025 at NASOM Gombak, Selangor.

 The day began with the national anthem, Negaraku, followed by welcoming remarks from the Chairman of NASOM Gombak, Mr. Suresh. NASOM Gombak serves young autistic children aged 4 to 13, focusing on early intervention programmes. As a semi-government-funded NGO, NASOM provides one of the most affordable daycare services for families in need.

Throughout the morning, our volunteers supported the centre through a series of activities including physical games (jumping through hoops, using hula hoops, balancing on a narrow beam, and sprinting to the final checkpoint), assisting the children during their tea break, cleaning and dusting the fans, and guiding the children through colouring activities and jigsaw puzzles

The programme concluded with a roundtable sharing session, where all our amazing volunteers reflected on their experience. Many described it as an eye-opening opportunity to understand the diverse needs of autistic children and emphasised the importance of public awareness and creating more opportunities for them in the future.

The event started at 8:30 AM and ended at 12:00 PM, but the impact and lessons gained will stay with our team far beyond the day’s activities.
