Within the rural areas on Cambodia, the presence of public infrastructure is still in need of improvements and Leader Energy is always ready to assist in every possible manner to improve the livelihoods of Cambodians.

To improve and provide proper illumination during the night for rural village roads near CTL’s substation, CTL stepped up its efforts by installing solar streetlight poles for the Ampil community near Grid Substation Kampong Cham. Through these efforts, CTL is able to reduce potential hazardous and high-risk incidents during the night especially in the possibility of vehicular accidents in the village.

A benefit of installing solar streetlights in Kampong Cham, it allows the reduction of energy consumption in the commune as the streetlights are powered by renewable energy thus, reducing CTL and the commune’s carbon footprint that contributes to the fight against climate change.​

Moreover, the improved lighting has also boosted the local economy. The streets are now much livelier which fosters a sense of community and togetherness.
