SUPPORT FOR PUT TONG FESTIVAL OF PHIN NGAN, BAT XAN COMMUNE
On 3 March 2026 (the 15th day of the first lunar month), Leader Nam Tien Hydropower JSC (LNTH) proudly supported the People’s Committee of Bat Xat Commune in organizing the Put Tong Festival. This annual New Year worship ceremony of the Red Dao community in Phin Ngan area, Bat Xat Commune, is held in the early morning of the full moon day of the first lunar month. The ritual is conducted to pray for favorable weather, abundant harvests, good health, peace, and unity among families, clans, and villages.
Put Tong Festival carries profound cultural and spiritual significance for the Red Dao people of Bat Xat. Beyond honoring ancestors and expressing hopes for prosperity and well-being, the festival also creates a meaningful platform for ethnic communities in the area to connect, exchange cultural values and experiences, and enhance both material and spiritual life. It further serves as an opportunity to showcase the natural beauty and distinctive cultural heritage of the ethnic groups in Bat Xat.
On this occasion, 24 LNTH employees volunteered to support the event, contributing to stage setup, logistics coordination, guest reception, crowd management and security, technical assistance, and pre & post-event clean-up. With each volunteer dedicating four hours, the team contributed a total of 96 volunteering hours, helping ensure the festival was organized successfully and safely.
Through this initiative, LNTH reaffirms its commitment to community engagement and continues to foster strong partnerships with local authorities while supporting the preservation and promotion of traditional cultural values.
