The Singapore LYS team organised a Blood Donation Drive at Bloodbank @HSA for June’s World Blood Donor Day, where we aimed to raise awareness about the critical importance of regular blood and plasma donations. Six volunteers participated in the Blood Donation Drive.

During the event, the friendly Bloodbank staffs ensured a smooth and comfortable donation process. Notably, among our volunteer group, we were inspired by three individuals who had already been regular donors in the past years. Their commitment to giving back to the community is truly commendable and sets an excellent example for others to follow.

In Singapore, an average of 400 units of blood is needed daily to meet the demand of patients. By organizing such group blood donation drives, we hope to encourage more individuals in good health to become new donors and contribute regularly to the blood bank. Together, we can make a significant impact and save countless lives!
